This past weekend, the PCS high school marching bands launched the 2024 marching season with spectacular musical showcases, hosted by the Chatham Marching Cavaliers at Chatham High School.
The event opened with an inspiring moment of unity, as all four bands—Dan River, Gretna, Tunstall, and Chatham—came together to perform the National Anthem in a powerful display of talent and collaboration.
Following this combined performance, each band took the field to present their own individual showcases, delighting the crowd with their precision, creativity, and musical prowess.
As the season begins, these dedicated students are preparing to hit the road, representing Pittsylvania County Schools at multiple competitions throughout the region. Congratulations to all of the county bands on their outstanding performances, and best of luck in the exciting season ahead!
