Two Chatham High Students Sport Signings

Michaela Willis signs with Patrick and Henry Community College
On January 30, Michaela Willis signed her letter of intent to play volleyball at Patrick and Henry Community College. She is set to take on the role of middle blocker for the Patriots. Michaela embarked on her volleyball journey in Pittsylvania County Youth Volleyball, where she spent her initial two years refining her skills. Progressing further, she dedicated a year to Active Club Volleyball and the subsequent year to Piedmont South Volleyball Club. Transitioning to high school, Willis showcased her talent for four years at Chatham High School, excelling as both a middle blocker and a right-side hitter. Pittsylvania County Schools congratulates Michaela Willis on her outstanding achievement.

Nicole Emerson signs with at Ferrum College.
On February 8th, Nicole Emerson signed her letter of intent to play softball at Ferrum College. Nicole is joining the team as Utility player for the Panthers. Nicole began her softball career through Chatham Youth League at 6 years old until the age of 12. She started playing travel ball for Diamond Fever at the age of 8. From there she also played 12U for the Vipers, and then 14u and 16u for Virginia Phoenix before coming back to finish her travel career with Diamond Fever 18u. Nicole has had a tremendous career for Chatham High School as a Varsity starter every season since her freshman year. She has garnered all district awards every season, along with all region team selections. Pittsylvania County Schools congratulates Nicole Emerson on her outstanding achievement.
